We define and discuss the notion of pseudospherical surfaces in asymptotic
coordinates on time scales. Two special cases, namely dicrete pseudospherical
surfaces and smooth pseudosperical surfaces are consistent with this
description. In particular, we define the Gaussian curvature in the discrete
case.
