We wish to re-observe 8 high SNR Planck all-sky survey-discovered clusters at 0.1 5 keV), high mass objects with complex morphologies and density profiles far shallower than those of X-ray-selected cluster samples in the same mass range. We will measure density, temperature, entropy and pressure profiles and compare with reference local and distant data from X-ray-selected samples. Deep X-ray observations of these extreme objects will allow us to precisely quantify how these new SZ-selected clusters differ from X-ray selected clusters, and assess their impact on mass scaling relations and X-ray and SZ selection functions.
