A statistical simulation method for investigating the distribution of particles in meteor streams along their trajectories is proposed. It is shown that by using a statistical function calculated for the outgoing meteor stream, it is possible to establish the major characteristics of the incoming meteor stream. It is established that there are particle groupings in the Quadrantid and Geminid meteor streams. The major characteristics of the groupings are presented.
