The authors present proper motions and positions on the FK4 system for eight variable stars of the R CrB type. Values for UW Cen, Y Mus, S Aps, RS Tel, and RY Sgr were derived by making use of all available astrometric data (photographic and meridian) and newly obtained plates; XX Cam, R CrB, and U Aqr were also included for completeness, with p.m. derived from literature values. Results indicate considerably small motions for these stars; a comparison with other published values is made when possible.
