The Guide Star System for the Hubble Space Telescope is being used to determine proper motions now that the scans of the original POSS plates are becoming available. The typical epoch difference of 30 years north of delta = -30 is sufficient to determine motions down to about 0.05 as/yr. We measure an average of 24 reference stars within 5 arcmin of the target star using centering algorithms in the Guide Star System Astrometric Support Package (GASP), and the mean residual in each coordinate is about 0.15 pixel or 1/4 as. Stars on the measurement program include faint carbon stars at high galactic latitudes (collaborators: P.J. Green and B.H. Margon, U. Washington), recently- discovered M dwarfs with no known motions (collaborators: H. Jahreiss, ARI-Heidelberg and C.B. Stephenson, CWRU), and possible A-F degenerates found in the Case Low-Dispersion Northern Sky Survey (collaborators: P. Pesch, CWRU and T.D. Kinman, KPNO). The carbon star program has uncovered several dwarfs - see Green, Margon, and MacConnell ApJ Lett 380, L31, 1991. I will present a summary of the results for these groups to date.
