We analyze photometric, spectroscopic, and IFP observations of collisional ring galaxies IIZw 28, IIHz 4, Arp 148, and VII Zw 466 conducted with the 6m telescope BTA (Nizhniy Arhyz, Russia). Our data allow us to estimate the parameters of both young and old stellar populations in these galaxies. The parameters of the ring-like density wave, which created the youngest population in the galaxies, are estimated from our observational data. We verify the hypothesis that the rings were bona fide emerged as results of the near-center collisions with satellite galaxies.
The project was partly supported by grants RFFI-07-02-00792 and MK1310.2007.2 (from president of the Russian Federation).
