Projection schemes for constructing an approximate solution to the exterior Maxwell boundary problem are presented. The methods are derived in the context of the null field approach by using the fundamental theorem of discrete approximation. The authors established the convergence and unique solvability of the linear system of equations for any system of functions which is complete on the particle surface. The convergence of the projection schemes is analyzed from a computational point of view.
