A consortium of European radio observatories, the Technological University of Finland, the Australian Scientific Research Society, the Australian Radio Observatory, and the United States National Radio Astronomical Observatory, in addition to the Soviet Union, will develop on-board equipment necessary for the Project Radioastron space radio telescope and the means required for information processing. Four special centers, outfitted with the most powerful and high-speed computers, are being organized in Western Europe, Australia, the United States, and the Soviet Union for the processing of the enormous flow of anticipated information. The design of the space telescope is briefly discussed.
