ARISTOTELES is a satellite mission conceived to determine a global model of the Earth's gravity field, in a homogeneous way, with high resolution and high accuracy. In the paper it is shown, after some simplifications and idealizations, how this task can be accomplished by using in a boundary value problem mode the data available from the satellite, i.e. gradiometry, accelerometry and GPS data.
