Scientific paper

Observations of the X-ray source A0535+26 by the Sneg 2 MP instrument on the Prognoz 6 spacecraft are reported. The source was monitored both in its quiescent state and during a flare. The X-ray light curve for Dec. 8-31, 1977 is given. Flux densities and energy spectra are determined for radiation in the 27-132 keV energy range, where the source would have a luminosity 2.7 x 10 to the 26th erg/sec if its distance is 1.5 kpc.
