The form of the envelope for quasi-steady splitting of the Hn-beta radio recombination lines (for n much greater than unity) is established. Characteristic features of the splitting geometry for Hn-beta lines are considered, and the intensities of the splitting components are calculated for both the pi and sigma types of polarization. It is shown that the components of the pi and sigma series do not coincide in frequency in the case of odd n. The results obtained are compared with previous results for the Hn-alpha lines.
