The paper proposes a stochastic generalization of the RBM model which describes Dst variations. The corresponding Fokker-Planck equation contains a new phenomenological parameter which makes possible an integral evaluation of the Dst prediction. The structure of sources and sinks forming the Dst variation is examined in the light of the theory of critical phenomena.
