We report on the results of an in depth investigation of the extended [OII]3727 line-emission in 11 3CR radio galaxies (0.5 < z < 1.1). Using a Fabry-Perot etalon to obtain both the kinematics and morphology of the [OII] gas, our goal was to find the mechanisms responsible for the creation and excitation of this warm gas, and the source of its alignment with the radio emission.
