The paper examines experimental evidence on primordial condensation of meteorite components. To avoid model-dependent interpretations on environmental conditions provided by meteorite minerals experimental criteria should be developed that reflect environmental parameters of the source medium temperatures which are highly differentiated in the space medium in accordance with radiation laws. Tests are necessary to establish the chemical composition of the source medium and the number density which is observed in space where dust is modified by condensation and evaporation. Metal diffusion couples in the refractory metal gains indicate that they may have existed up to a year at 780K, but cannot have formed at grain temperatures of the order of 1700 K. Kinetic isotope effects, imprinted together with nuclear effects on meteorite solids, provide a promising source of information on fractionation processes and on the state of excitation in the source medium.
