Previous calculations of the generation of the cosmological baryon to photon ratio by the evaporation of primordial black holes are extended to include a closer examination of the properties of grand unified theories. The emission of magnetic monopoles is found not to present a serious problem. Using a simple baryosynthetic reaction network of the kind given by Fry, Olive and Turner (1980), the thermalization of particles emitted by black holes can be studied. This tends to reduce the influence of primordial black holes in determining the baryon to photon ratio, but they may still play an important role.
