The experimental data obtained for the EAS array of the Moscow State
University over the period of 1984-1988 are analyzed with particular
reference to the chemical composition of primary cosmic rays in the
energy range 10 exp 15 - 5 x 10 exp 17 eV. The chemical composition of
primary cosmic rays is derived from the muon component of EAS.
