Spacetime curvature around a black hole decollimates jets produced near the hole. For fluid jets, pressure effects in most cases can dominate over gravitational effects, thus leading to an overall collimation of the flow. In order to keep a jet flowing in regions far from the black hole, the external pressure Pe of the medium shoud not drop with increasing radial distance faster than an inverse third power.
