The post-residuals, obtained from the adjusted LLR data, are usually much larger than the errors of measurements. For this sake, the influence of both the uncertainty of the orientation of the reference frame of the ephemeris and the inaccuracy of the moon's Love numbers on the calculated distance, from an observing station to the reflectors, is analyzed. By means of the uncertainties of the obliquity of the ecliptic and of the equinox contained by DE200/LE200 and the relative errors of the moon's Love numbers, the values of the distance errors are estimated. Finally, the results of the comparison of these values with the accuracy of the reduction of the LLR data obtained from 1970 and 1987 show that the uncertainties of the orientation of the reference frame of the ephemeris and the inaccuracy of the moon's Love numbers are the main sources of error in the reduction of the LLR data at present.
