Since the completion of research on speckle interferometry at the Yunnan Observatory in 1987, the studies of the high-resolution 2D image reconstruction have been carried out. After simulation testing of the image reconstruction by speckle masking under conditions of the real atmosphere and telescope, trial observations of two binaries with this method were successfully given in Sept. 1990. The results of these tests show the importance of the invariability and small variance of the statistical characteristics of the atmosphere during sampling. Therefore, a suitable detector is necessary to meet the conditions.
