Earth Rotation: Variations

The sea level data of about 300 tide gauge stations located in the Pacific are adopted in this work to study the relationship between the interannual change of Earth rotation and that of sea level in different latitude zones. From a simplified Earth and ocean model, the possible physical process of the influence of Earth rotation rate on the latitudewards oceanic motions is discussed.
