A detailed description of a planetary system of lineaments observed in radar images of Venus is presented. This system of lineaments was analyzed in an over-all image of surveyed territory formed from separate image strips. On the basis of a detailed analysis of the procedure for obtaining the image, possible mechanisms of formation of the disturbing lineament component were defined. A study of them showed that they do not enable us to explain all the features of the lineament system's structure. The experimental data also show an absence of such defects in the data-processing algorithms. Considering this and also data of the lineament system's geological-geomorphological analysis as a whole and its components, its reality is presumed. A rotational mechanism for the formation of the described phenomenon is suggested. The geological inferences of the phenomenon are partially examined.
