The paper examines the prediction of the successful landing of an interplanetary probe on a planetary surface with a complex geometry on the basis of random initial landing conditions (relief, soil, etc.). The equations of probe motion are solved for a learning sample consisting of random landing situations; the solution is used to form a Pi discrimination law. Further prediction is performed with the Pi law without the solution of the equations of probe motion during landing.
