Based on statistical analysis of the maximum and minimum RM smoothed yearly mean sunspot numbers for each solar cycle, some statistical relative characteristics were obtained; on these bases, predictions of the minimum RM of the smoothed yearly mean for cycle 22 and the maximum RM of the smoothed yearly mean for cycle 23 were conducted. Also predicted were the times of the minimum and the maximum smoothed yearly mean sunspot number for cycles 22 and 23, respectively, according to some characteristics of a similar cycle.
