In August 1977 the Czechoslovak standard time and frequency station OMA-50 kHz began transmitting a new time code which has completed the original A1 format. The new code is formed by a sequence of phase-reversed pulses identifying minutes and hours of Central European Time (CET). It is planned to extend the code further in the near future. This paper presents the new code and discusses its basic properties. As an example of a practical application an OMA-controlled clock is described.
