Sinusoidal and damped sinusoidal models are analyzed and compared in terms of phase residual. An improved damped sinusoidal model is proposed. The data from the three models are subjected to regression analysis in order to determine their differences. It is concluded that the improved damped sinusoidal model describes the phase residual distribution of the jet precession of SS433 better than the other models.
