Gapped time series appear frequently in astronomy due to many different causes. Our aim in this paper has been to test four different methods using synthetic and real signals in which we have generated gaps of different types and sizes. This procedure has allowed us to compare the recovered spectrum with the real one and to draw conclusions about the more efficient method.
