In the Ra subsystem of ZrO's alpha-system, only one v-prime = 0 prominent progression has been recorded, in contrast to the Rb and Rc subsystems which have prominent progressions up to v-prime = 5. Additional v-prime = 1, 2, 4, and 5 progressions have been identified in the Ra subsystem, providing evidence that the incomplete nature of this subsystem is due to a potential maximum in the upper C 3Delta3 sublevel. If the third singlet system C which is centered at 4534.4 A is taken into account, the present work has assigned all the prominent bands of ZrO in the blue-green and near-ultraviolet to one system or another.
