Poststarburst quasars are broad-lined AGN which also possess Balmer jumps and high-n Balmer absorption lines indicative of very luminous A-type stellar populations with ages on the order of 100 Myr. These "Q+A" objects may be an evolutionary stage in the transistion of ultraluminous infrared galaxies into normal quasars, or simply reveal a type of galaxy interaction that triggers both star formation and nuclear activity. I present initial results regarding the characterization of the Q+A population in Data Release One of the Sloan Digitial Sky Survey.
