We present analysis of the AAVSO light curve collected during 1933--2007. The recurrent nova outbursts are followed by post-outburst light variations resembling classical (Z And-type) symbiotic activity with typical timescales of 1200--1800 d. The pattern of this variability is practically identical for each outburst. We discuss the nature of this phenomenon, and compare the behaviour of RS Oph with other related systems.
