Two possible mechanisms for producing the assymetric rotation curve recently noted for Hickson 88a are considered. The inclination of this rotation curve could be obtained if the galaxy revolved as a whole around a center which is different from the luminous center of the galaxy. The assymmetry of the rotation curve could be produced by pertubations (such as jet-like emissions) from the center of the galaxy.
