Gamma-families formed in nucleon-nucleus interactions are distinguished from those formed in pion-nucleus interactions on the basis of criteria obtained from scaling-model calculations. The analysis included 906 gamma-families with energies of 30-500 TeV, with a particle number not less than 3 and a minimum electron-photon-cascade energy of 2 TeV. The spatial characteristics of the pion and nucleus families are investigated along with the angular distribution of the gamma-families.
