Spectral distortions of the relict radiation background over the wavelength range from 160 to 300 microns are investigated which are caused by luminescence interactions between light elements of cosmological origin and hydrogen recombination radiation. In particular, it is shown that lithium recombination may produce a 100% reduction in the intensity of the 2.7-K background. The redshift of the lithium recombination era is estimated to be approximately 550.
