The possibility of reducing photographs from ballistic cameras astrometrically was investigated. Theoretical investigations show that the astrometric polynomial model can cover the physical and geometrical conditions during exposure if the model conceptions of the photogrammetric method are taken as a basic. Error theory and method of adjustment are strict. The results of astrometric and photogrammetric reductions of the total image field of BC4 photographs do not show significant differences; therefore, astrometric polynomial model can be used for the reduction of photographs of ballistic cameras.
