116 precise positions of minor planets observed at the GPO (f = 4 m, d = 40 cm) of the European Southern Observatory, La Silla, Chile, during December 15 through December 30, 1979 are given. All plates were measured on the Ascorecord Zeiss, Jena, measuring machine of the Valongo Observatory, UFRJ, Rio de Janeiro. The positions were computed by means of dependences and of least squares, with the computer Burroughs B6700 of the Núçleo de Computação Eletrônica - NCE, of the Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro. The reference stars, corrected for proper motions, are taken from SAO Stars Catalogue, at the equinox (1950,0).
