The assumption of an isothermal corona with a hydrostatic distribution of density is used to calculate the polarized components, ln(Kt±Kr) and the K-corona polarization degree pk as functions of the distance from the solar disc centre. The comparison of the observed data with the theoretical curves has shown that the density distribution at distances r < (2 - 2.5) R_sun; fits the applied corona model. A simple method is proposed to deduce the temperature T in the middle corona and the density n0 at r = R_sun;. The corona temperature near solar minimum has been found to be ≈1.4×106K. Attention is paid to the deviations of the observed values of ln(Kt-Kr) from the theoretical curve as the distance from the disc centre becomes greater than 2.5 R_sun;.
