The paper presents measurements of the polarization ellipse parameters
of a pulsed radio signal reflected during vertical sounding from the
subauroral (62 deg N) ionosphere. The ellipse axis ratio is in the
0.6-0.9 range, which is in agreement with results obtained with
magnetoionic theory.
