UBV polarimetric and photometric observations of Nova Cygni 1975 are presented. Time dependent variations in polarization and its wavelength dependence are discussed. Polarization near the maximum brightness of the nova is found to be slightly smaller than that observed later. Values for intrinsic and interstellar polarization are derived assuming that the difference in polarization is due to matter ejected in the outburst. No correlation between polarization and the 0.14 d period brightness variation is found.
