The problem of controlling the motion of a landing module during descent onto a planet without an atmosphere is discussed, assuming that the spacecraft is decelerated both by thrust-vector control and attitude control. The actual values of the motion parameters required to determine the control actions are obtained by means of a platformless inertial navigation system. The proposed navigation and control algorithms are simulated on a digital computer, and the results are analyzed.
