Planetary Nebulae, Wavelet Transforms, Planetary Nebulae

We present an analysis of narrowband images of planetary nebulae, obtained from the HST archive, by wavelet transform. This technique allows us to identify new substructures, present in all planetary nebulae of our sample at some level. In the case of one planetary nebula Hubble 4, we were even able to identify a new secondary pair of low ionization structures.
We repport as well on the extension of our work to ground based photometry, through an analysis of images from the ``IAC catalogue of Galactic Planetary Nebulae'' (Manchado et al. 1996).
