The orbital paths of hypothetical earth-like planets about nearby binary stars have been analyzed by numerical simulations of restricted elliptic three-body motion. Examples studied intensively were cases that possessed stellar orbit periods of several decades, eccentricity of about 0.5, and stellar separations about 10 to 50 astronomical units. It was found that short term planetary orbits about one primary could be established in 'temperate' regions with elliptical or even near-circular properties, but with some departure from two-body dynamics. Pericentron passes of the stars perturbed planetary paths in what appeared to be linear eccentricity increments.
