The planar incompressible MHD motion of a single classical fluid with internal Yang-Mills degrees of freedom is investigated analytically, examining the effects of non-Abelian gauge charge on the Hamiltonian structure. Two related families of Hamiltonian structures are derived and associated with semidirect-product Lie algebras. The implications of these findings for the magnetofluiddynamics of neutron stars are indicated.
