Dokuz Eylül University, Izmir (Turkey), is known with its ``active learning system''. As being among the first examples in the world, some departments of Engineering Faculty of this University have adopted the ``modular-staged problem based active learning system''. In this paper, we have introduced to show how used problems which could be used for the freshman students in the departments of the Engineering Faculty towards physics teaching, and an example was investigated as the learning material for a physics scenario.
