As a consequence of an error in the Roche geometry used, some of the physical parameters of WZ Sge determined by Robinson et al. (1978) have to be revised. The new values of the main parameters are: mass ratio of approximately 66; mass of the white-dwarf primary, 0.67 solar mass; mass of the secondary, 0.01 solar mass. The present state, the past, and the future evolution of the system is discussed. It is found that within about 100 million yr the system will have reached a stage where the secondary is a planet filling its Roche lobe.
