Radar observations of near Earth asteroid 2004WG1 obtained at Arecibo Observatory from April 11th-19th in 2006 illustrate an irregularly shaped object exhibiting several topographical features. Preliminary analysis of radar delay-Doppler images made at 15m resolution reveal a double-lobed object with a rangedepths fluctuating from 0.3km to 1.0km corresponding to Doppler bandwidths of 7.01Hz to 4.2Hz. Since rangedepth is related to the diameter of the asteroid and Doppler bandwidth corresponds to its rotation speed, this data indicates a highly elongated object. Continuous wave (CW) data of the asteroid also report a SC/OC polarization ratio ranging from 0.15-0.20, which suggests an asteroid with a smoother surface than, for example, asteroids 433 Eros and 25143 Itokawa which have polarization ratios of 0.28 and optically confirmed smooth surfaces from previous spacecraft flybys. The delay-Doppler images will be used in combination with the CW data to determine possible physical models of the asteroid. These models and their corresponding interpretations will be presented.
