Solar Photosphere: Solar Flares, Solar Flares: Magnetic Fields
Scientific paper
Temperature, gaseous pressure and magnetic field strength are determined for two levels of the photosphere before and during flares in the McMath 15526 active region. During a flare heating up to 50K takes place at both levels, while in a subflare only the upper level is heated. The magnetic field strength at the lower level is 2200 Gs in a flare 1 n and 1800 Gs in a subflare, i.e. it decreases with height. Prior to flares it is smaller, than during flares by 300 - 600 Gs.
