The results of iris photometry in the UBV system on short exposure plates of M30 (NGC 7099) are discussed. The photometry is given for the bright stars within a radius of 10 to 90 arcsec from the cluster center. A factor-of-two deficiency of blue horizontal branch stars to red giant stars is found for the central part of the cluster, compared to similar evaluations made at a radius of 80 to 300 arcsec. These ratios render values of helium content which range from about 0.27 in the outer regions to about 0.12 in the central region.
