We are monitoring a large group of post-Asymptotic Giant Branch (AGB) stars, in B, V, R, and I filters in order to detect and characterize the presence of any variability. Of the 34 stars presented here, we found 11 that showed long-term and possibly periodic variability, 16 that had short-term variability, often with large amplitudes and no clear periodicity evident, and 7 that showed little to no variation over the ˜ 2 year span of the observations. The position of these stars on an IRAS two-color plot (van der Veen et al. 1989) suggests that the stars showing long-term variability are younger, not as far into the post-AGB stage, and the stars with shorter term variability are farther along in their lifecycles.
