The observations of (4) Vesta from 1972 to 1988 have been analysed using the IAU's new two-parameter magnitude system. The values found for absolute magnitude H and slope perimeter G are 3.32 and 0.42 respectively. A comparison between the 1985 data analysed using the previous system and the new two- parameter method is made and a brief description of the two- parameter system is given in an appendix.
