The color-absolute magnitude (CM) relation in the dominant spheroidal components (bulges) of early-type spirals is examined in comparison to E,SO galaxies. New observational results concerning the CM effect in Class A early-type spirals are presented which are derived with the corrected data in Griersmith (1980) for 269 early-type spirals. The CM relation is considered for early-type spirals in nearby groups/clusters and for galaxies in the field, and the results suggest that the CM effect is largely independent of the environment. Fully corrected colors for the CM effect are presented which show a real scatter over and above observational errors. The excess scatter is larger than that for E,SO galaxies.
