Scanner and eight-color observations are reported for unidentified bands occurring in the spectra of pure S stars. Correlations of an unidentified band measured at 7120 A with the band strengths of ZrO and LaO show a simple temperature dependence. A close correlation of molecular band strengths with color temperature suggests that the pure S stars are a fairly homogeneous group.
